Hey Guys, I just bought the calcutta 400 B. The guy at the store told me that it is the newer version of the 400. But this new one is about $50 cheaper. ??? Anybody know why?

Did the guy who sold you the reel explain the difference between the 400B and 400 ?

NO

I just lookied at at review site,, and they said that shimano added another berring and is a little lighter,,,besides that to their relief,, they haven't changed much else. Apparently it has a softer slip resistant grip.

No matter, I think you got yourself a sweet reel !

Do they make a 401 B yet?
-
Biffchan,,,,,The 401 that I saw,, was probably not the 401 B. I'm pretty sure that is not out yet. Heres a good link for you.http://www.tackletour.com/reviewshimanocalcuttabpreview.html
