Have you tried taking the photo from farther back and using the zoom?  Might work.

As for the fly, not bad.  It doesn't work that good with marabou, but if you use a few light wraps with the thread at the back of the head the material might lay flatter to the hook.  Things "puff" when wrapped tight, dear hair is the best example.  Looser wraps won't crimp the material.  Again, it might not work so well with that pattern, but it's a good tip.

im really pissed off my camera wont take good quality pictures of my flies i dont understand  >:(
