Well, it has been a pretty good start for Canada at the Olympics!! They now have 2 medals, a gold from the women's Moguls, and Cindy Klassen from Winnipeg picked up a bronze today in the 3000 m Speed Skating event!! Good on her for getting the Bronze, she was a favorite, and holds the WR in the event, but had a slip on the last lap, and got the Bronze. I can't imagine how hard it would be to even win a medal, no matter the color!! So great job Cindy, she has 4 more events left, wish her luck!!
As fro the women's Hockey team, well, I don't think that much needs to be said of that!! :o Things seem to be going along as planned, 28-0 in 2 games!! Bring on the Americans!! ;D ;D

Canada picked up another medal in the women's XC team sprint event!! Becky Scott & Sara Renner were able to pick up the Silver after Sara broke her ski pole on a climb and a Norwegian Coach ran out and gave her a spare!! She had dropped into 4th, but was able to get it going again!! Hat's off to team Norway for showing a ton of Olympic Spirit, and a classy move!! ;D ;D
As for the Womens Hockey team, they picked up an 8-1 win over Sweden today, and now head to the Semi-finals against Finland on Friday!! ;D ;D Outscoring their opponents 36-1 in the 3 prelim games!! :o ;D

Yeah, it wasn't the best game, but Mojo is right on!!! They seemed a bit jet lagged in the first, stormed out and looked good in the second, and maybe sat back a bit after the 7th goal in the third!! Wouldn't want to run up the score, and get the whining and moaning that the Women's team is getting!! ::) ::) What a joke that is!! >:(

One more thing, Canada picked up another Bronze medal in Short track speedskating today!! Not sure of the details, just got home!! ;D

And two silvers in men's and women's long track pursuits.

It's shaping up fairly well so far. We're at 8 medals, 1 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze. We're in 5th place in the overall medal standings and we're ahead of notables such as China and Austria. Keep up the good work boys (and girls).

Well, another Olympic update!! Canadian women are going to the Gold Medal Game in hockey with a 6-0 win over Finland today!! Now outsoring their opponents 42-1 iin 4 games!!! They will be playing........
SWEDEN!!
After the US Women got upset!!!! I think I know why the US women weren't " running up the score"!!! Because they couldn't!!!!! Anyhow, Canada get's another crack at the team they just beat 8-1!! I don't know what to think of that!!! The Canadians can't be to happy about that, from what I have seen they would like to beat the US in the gold medal game. But, let's hope that the girls don't take this game for granted, anything can happen!! ;)

If Canada plays up to it's potential they should beat Sweden quite handily.

From what I have seen, I don't know if the girls can play bad enough to lose!! But, as I said before, anything can happen!! But in say that, I will say that it should be around 7-8 to 1 for the Canadians!! ;D ;D Bringing home another gold!!! ;D

Well the ladies shouldn't have that problem. They seems to play their best all the time. Did you see what the guys did today?
0-2 lost to the Swiss. :-\ :'(

Not to panic. Every team in the tournament I believe has suffered at least one defeat. Better now than later.

So far Finland has 3 wins 0 loss.
But you're right at least it's now not later. Hopefully Canadian Men's Team has learned a lesson.

Canada had 49 shots, 2 disallowed goals, to me they did play a solid game and got better throughout the game!! :D ;)

Cindey Klassen has won a another medal!! ;) A Silver Medal this time in the 1000 meter long track event!!! ;D
