Terry Bodman:
One of the best, in my opinion, is:
"Fly Patterns for Stillwaters" by Philip Rowley. Written specifically for BC Lakes. Very clear directions and accompanied by entomology of each insect group. Expensive,however. Your local library should have it as well.

Another good one, but not written for BC waters, is:

"The Fly Tying Bible" by Peter Gathercole. Some of the best diagrams I've seen and tying is graded by difficulty.

Great book for the money no questions asked. $40 at the local shop.
