Was actually thinking of maybe fishing Deer tomorrow since I have no school but thinking it's a little cold for them right now.

Actually not true. There are only a few places in Pitt Meadows but tyey get real tough to catch in the winter. Hatzic lake in Mission can be really good with the.right water levels. There is also Silvermere lake in Mission as well.

Thank you!!
-
How do I get into hatzic or silvermere? I thought they were closed to public and you needed to "know someone"
-
Check out www.westcoastbassanglers.webs.com and look under the lakes section has a good list of lakes with bass in them
-
Hatzic you can launch a car topper from the road at shook and silvermere you can fish from shore by the highway
-
Awesome!! Thank you!!!

No problem if you have anymore questions about catching bass just ask away :)

Well I will bite, do you think the bass are active right now? Not sure if I should wake up in the morning and head out.
Thanks

Depends on if your shore fishing or from a boat I was out this weekend and the water was still pretty damn cold but I do know a few buddies who where out in boats and got a couple small fish of your gonna fish find m deep water with rock or wood structure because they hold te heat and fish very slow this time if the year I would drag jigs very slowly across the bottom

Check out B.C. Outdoors Sport Fishing magazine Jan/Feb 2013 for an excellent article on bass fishing in B.C. There's a list of waters of bass waters. It's only a partial list but it's a start. It also mentions the illegal transport of fish in B.C. A very good article by Jesse Martin, well worth the read.
Also check out the Bass Anglers of B.C. website for more info and links.

I fished deer lake from my usualy shore spot last week, managed a few bass but nothing too big.
-
give the rivers a rest boys and girls grab some dew worms and slip floats and hit the many ponds that hold bass in the lowermainland. ;D noxcape please gather everyone and take them to all the hot spots that hold bass ;)
-
Naw joska ill leave them all to you to enjoy the river with I love my nice quiet time bass fishing
-
I enjoyed bass fishing last summer :). Tried a few different rigs and ended up doing well wacky rigging soft plastic worms. It was a blast fishing for bass, I enjoyed it a lot more than stocked trout.
-
^ that is a good thing to hear alot of people don't seem to realize how much fun they are or just don't want to admit it
-
i cant say tossing a spinner bait out in the reeds and burning it back only to have the rod ripped out of your hands when pull the lure out of the water ain't fun. bucketmouth and his jigs, the master of disaster. but im not gonna my smelly socks you handy andy... bass got cupcakes on steelhead.

Nice dry fly fish when the water warms up. The take on big skated dries is the same as it is for 5 lb plus trout. Fly fishing these guys is much harder than trout because of the cover they hold in. If you can't accurately cast into tight places with and without wind, you will be skunked. As Andy said there is a good list of Bass waters on the WCBA site.
-
I wonder how more more lakes will be stocked/ruined this year?
-
The bass I found last summer are more fun to play than the stocked trout in the lower mainland. I guess part of the fun is not knowing how big the bass is going to be, I guess I was getting bored of 400 gram triploids :)
