hey i have been fishing for about 4 years now using almost exclusively abu garcia levelwind reels. i was intrigued by my neighbours centre pin reel and took a few casts with it. it really does change the dynamic of fishing the river. just wondering if anyone would know what is a good centre pin reel to start with. thx ;)

There are many out there in the market. Check the buy and sell. Prices may vary from $150 upwards to $600

alot funner to fish with, natural drifts, 1 on 1 with the fish. super fun.

i have a few centerpins and yes they are great BUT there a bitch to reel in, it sucks getting roe on them, its harder to cast in tight places and your hands can get cold other than that tho they are great

they seem fun and its a real fight when playing the fish but they do seem a bit pricey. well thx you guys ;).

Milner Kingfisher. 400$ is one of the best.

Seriously thinking of selling my Islander and get myself a Talisman

FA, I have a Talisman. Nice reel!

Pin Head is correct. I know a friend who was fighting a chinook on the Cap several years back and his reel shattered. He was not pleased.
