Weekday Island 22 closures, February 1st - 17th 2012

From Fraser Valley Regional District:

Island 22 is closed to vehicle traffic from Feb 1 – Feb 17 (Mon – Fri only) while park improvements take place. A formal media release by the City of Chilliwack and the FVRD will be in tomorrow’s paper, however, we are receiving inquires as to the nature of the closure due to comments being made on Facebook. A bike park is being constructed which will be located on the north side of the dike adjacent to the gatehouse. This will not interfere with the boat launch or the equestrian area once completed.
 
We apologies for any inconvenience, please keep in mind the park will operate under its regular hours on weekends.
