Go 2 Jacket

I'm looking for a new waterproof/breathable fishing jacket.  It would be worn while I'm wearing waders on the river mostly for salmon and in the winter.

What is your favourite Go 2 jacket you wear when its raining?

I just bought the Patagonia deep wading jacket.  It cost me my arm and my leg but I love the jacket.  At least I am always dry and never sweaty in in because it's breathable.  I love it so much that I don't even mind fishing one handed while leaning on log.

Just bought a nice Simms jacket from Babcock's.  Last years model reg $299 now $149.  Very light and lost of body room for additional clothes.  You'll see me in it next time it rains ;D

I second Redeye's Patagonia jacket. They are the best available on the market right now. Only problem is that it cost close to 5 bills !

The neoprene cuffs are better than the elastic cuffs... but they aren't as good as the rubber cuffs.

I found that the neoprene cuffs don't seal 100%.  With the rubber cuffs, I've stuck my whole arm in the water (to retrieve a dropped fly) and my arm was still bone dry.  My arm was in the water for maybe 15 seconds.  I've tried it with neoprene cuffs before and it didn't work as well.

That's just my opinion though...others may disagree.

$150 bucks at Babcocks right now they have Simms gortex jackets for sale, picked one up and are very nice. :)

Freestone.  It has Neopreen cuffs with elastic adjusters.  Two breast pockets for fly boxes etc.  2 layer goretex.

Coho, what kind of price range? Check out the Simms website. I think it's simmsfishing.com.

I just aquired the Simms goretex XCR & went thru rain hell in Skeena country last week. The jacket was a dream.

Anyone know what happened to the old Hardy Wax rain slickers. Can't find anymore(most comfy jacket ever made)?
