For those who shore fish in West Vancouver, please read:
Effective 00:01 hours June 1 to 24:00 hours May 31, 2007, all fishing activity is prohibited along the shoreline of West Vancouver as described below:
Area 28
In Queen Charlotte Channel within Howe Sound, all shoreline from the most northerly point of Tyee Point, then southwest to the most westerly entrance point of Pilot Cove, a ribbon boundary 50 meters laterally from the low tide mark.
This closure is being put into effect to assist the West Vancouver Municipality with their longer term vision of marine integrity as much of this shoreline is contained within Whytecliff Park and Lighthouse Park.
