If you are going to shell out the bucks then I would recommend going to murphies lodge...dont know if you saw my post  (stamp dec 27-28) but we had a great trip.  I can walk the vedder on my own, dont need a guide for that...so being in a boat on the stamp  was great.

That said I dont know if a guided trip on foot ie on the vedder is cheaper than the stamp trip we took.

Dave Murphy and his ladz are very good. There are also a couple of others that are great as well:

Nick Hnennyj: nick@westcoastrivercharters.ca or (250) 720 5449

Kenny Myers (The FishMeister): Don't have his contacts handy, but he's in the book in Port Alberni.

Both are very good on the Stamp, and both offer excellent salt water fishing trips as well. I'd highly reccommend any of these three to anyone!

Cheers,
Nog

I've never looked at guided freshwater fishing before...  What are the costs of this kind of fishing?

$350-$400/day with jet boat.
Buddy of mine is just back from the Stamp-got some fish but it was tough.
