Sorry about the truck and your whiplash.

I can understand back pain as I've got problems with my lower back as well.  Last time I hurt it I was picking up my kid without bending my knees... wasn't a smart thing to do.  Get better soon-fishing with back pain is not fun.  It makes it tough to stand in the river for any length of time before your back acts up.  Good luck with ICBC.

Sorry to hear about your incident Randog.  I hope that your injuries fully heal soon.  Just as I was getting ready to give you a call and track down the steel :).  If the guy that hit you hasn't filed a report yet you might want to consider looking for witnesses to the accident.  If the goof tries to "get away with it" you could be in for a long fight.  Cheers pal.

Has anyone heard of this "NO crash, no cash" policy that ICBC has ?  In my case there was Definetly a BIG crash.

BTW, I just have to give Tyson (from FishBC) a plug, he owns an autobody shop in Maple Ridge. I took my Explorer to him last year for some body work and his staff had her back to me in 2 days. So I took this claim to him and he said I should have my lil' truck back by Friday. This guy does excellent work and their really fast. So if your looking for a good autobody shop, he's the guy.

I beleive that it is "no damage, no bodily injury".  Should not apply to you.  However, my neice had a roll over on Hwy 1 this time last year.  Definately some soft tissue damage.  ICBC told her in October that they were not paying for any more treatment because she had a low pain threshhold.  She just wanted what was fair.  Now she has a lawyer and it's going to cost them more.

What's the name of Tyson's shop?

They've been around a long time too.  I used to sell filters to them about 10-12 years ago.

Sorry to hear about your accident.  By the sounds of it I am lucky to live in Merritt where traffic is comparable to CORNER GAS!!   ;D
Too dangerous down there!

ICBC tried the minimal damage to your vehicle route on me several years ago,got rearended in my f350 by a dodge caravan she was doing 55km in a construction zone. I was at a dead stop she claimed that she looked in her rear view mirror to see what the cop was doing behind her ( no s*#t) anyway I was watching her in my rearview and had time to brace for the hit. bent my rear bumper dented the tailgate
and a broken seat back was my damage she had to be cut out of her caravan with out any realy serious
injuries.I had a sprained neck and shoulder and seatbelt burns on my neck and collarbone.ICBC settled on the day of the court hearing.
