Heading to Foley lake tomorrow, haven't been there in a long long time. Any fly tips for August at Foley ?

Afternoons fish better, try around the waterfall inflow and island on the west side. Dry flies at night are usually hot.

Lots of small, typical coastal lake fish in there. I usually do a lap around the "island" and get into fish.
I just use a leech pattern of some sort. Use small hooks.

Thanks guys, wasn't expecting any whoppers. Will be close by thought I'd give it a go. Appreciate the info.

For those who are interested could only get part way around foley as road was covered in rock. There was a considerable amount of garbage at lake and every campsite along foley creek. Why do people poo right in their campsites ? Pretty gross. Won't be going back.
