Chilliwack River, February 24th 2012
« on: February 24, 2012, 02:21:55 PM »

Got to the Vedder at around 9am
took a run upriver but was put off by all the cars\trucks parked everywhere
so hit the lower part
Found a nice long run that had three guys at the end of it
Worked my way down with no luck
one of the guys said they had got into a few fish at first light
I worked up and down this run trying shrimp, spinner, pink worms but nothing for me
I was tempted to try up river but i wanted to miss the trafic
Lots of fishermen out on the river today
The conditions were great, slight colour to the water
breeze picked up at one stage and it was hard to cast or keep a bow from forming in my line
Talked to a guy on the way out (he had been fishing higher up river ) and he had got into two fish and had seen at least 8 others hooked 3 landed
Just nice to get out there

I was there yesterday as well.

Fished up river of the crossing.

Had a nice takedown and a fish on for a few seconds, which I thought was bottom. As I walked down river to the 'snag', the guy beside me said, 'I see it!".  I look down and see my pink worm in the fish's mouth thrashing back and forth kinda holding in the tailout, just then the float flies back at me.

I soooooo suck at this.

You managed to hook onto a fish...seems you're doing just fine.
