A week ago 3 oz was too heavy. I would doubt that they are using 5 now.

If anyone needs any tips on casting watch the first 10 seconds of the second video. The trick is to throw your leg back and lean forward as you cast.  ;D

we were at the peg yesterday and except for two guys in the area we were in, everyone was really good with each other, helping with nets and tips.  it was a good day for us and everyone else all around.

Raining pretty hard out in Chilliwack today. For those thinking of heading out to Peg Leg, that little road is going to get slick and make it harder getting up that little hill.  And the soil and sand will get nice and soft in that area too. So unless you have a good 4x4 or AWD vehicle crossing the channel would be dicey.  On the other hand if a tow truck had to be called out, those sockeye a person caught would become a heck of a lot  more expensive.  ;)

Also if fishing off the rip rap on the banks of the Fraser, be careful as those rocks get dangerously slick when wet.

fished the peg this morning, saw one 2 wheel drive car not make the crossing.  other than that the rain seemed to really thin the crowd and you were able to fish with 15 to 20 feet to the next guy.  turn over was very fast, and most people had their two and left fairly quick.

fished peg leg about a week and a half ago thank god we were on a boat those crowds of guys that dont know what they are doing can turn into a real scene especially  if they pull up beside you . I am going to be wandering away from the beaten path up the vedder most likely but i dont thing i am going to be doing much more bar fishing. Sure hope the rain fills up the cap so i dont have to travel so far though.

Is Peg wadable now opn foot? How deep? Can sedans on front wheel drive make it through? I know a earlier post says a 2 wheeler not making it, but is it an exception (like it may be crossing at the wrong spot)? I am thinking to bring my front-wheel drive Camry there. Not sure if I can cross it with that.
