Title: West Vancouver, August 30th 2009: Mouth of the Cap and the Bay
Post by: capman on August 31, 2009, 07:04:31 AM
Fished yesterday morning from 6 to noon on a boat. Tons of fish jumping and rolling but no biters. I was able to hook and land one on the 3rd cast first light and that was it. Beside a boat trolling and mooching with herring, did not see anyone else in the boat or from the shore to hook one while I was there. Apparently this has been the same story for the bast couple of weeks.

There were a few more caught.  3 on the shore by 9:00.

There was also a birdie on Saturday.  That sounds more like a golf term, but a seagull was tangled in an anglers fishing line, not hooked but line through the wings.  Took three people to untangle the sea gull, one in the water, one to throw a coat over the bird's head and one to remove the line.

Sea gull last seen heading safely away.
