Hello: I am going to Mexico for a week staying near Tulum on the Mayan Riviera. There must be someone out there who has had a fly-fishing for bones/tarpon experience who can recommend a good guide service or a local who knows the area. This is one of "my bucket list" things to do before I go for a dirt nap. Any help would be appreciated. Anyone know where I could get the flies used for bones, locally?
Thanks, Greg aka Steelie1030.

I've seen a couple of links worth checking out on Bloodydecks.com.

This one is based south of Cancun (Puerto Aventuras): http://www.captricksfishing.com/
There is another one based right in Cancun: http://www.unomassportfishing.com/
Never used any of them, just passing some info on.

This came up in another forum a while ago, and lots of info was sent. Heres the link.

I did some fishing on the cheap about an hour south of tulum by taxi. It was pretty interesting how many fish there were, and the wading was dicey (I learned later) due to crocs in the water.
