Bought a steelheader and couple times using it, its making a slight amost a clicking kinda noise when i cast. Its not the prawl eather . I took it apart and cleaned and re oiled every thing and it seems to be doing it still, any input.

it either sounds like the spring is pushing in your clicker ever so slightly (did you tighten the screw that holds the spring on the reel?). Or you got sand or something in there.

At first i thought it was sand but its not a grinding so ill try to tight the spring. thanks muddler

Hey cohokid,is it still making the clicking noise after you tighten the screw,you make sure the clicker button push back far enough.

dont tighten the spring. If it was already over tightened this would have caused it to malfunction (pressed the spring dow so it doesnt spring back). I would check the spring out. Possibly loosen the screw a little bit and then re tighten back to where it is now.
