Indeed this is a very unfortunate incident and I'm sorry for your loss.
But..................... why would you leave stuff in your vehicle that has high value to you? I can only assume that you live in the city. Everyone knows theft is rampent in most parts of the LML and througout BC, and for the life of me, I can't understand why people leave anything of value in their vehicle. All you're doing is baiting these thieves and asking to be broken into. It's like when someone goes fishing to the Vedder or Chehalis……………don't leave anything visible or even in your vehicle if you don't want it taken. Thieves will even break into cars for a loonie or toonie on the dash. Thieves will take anything and will bust a window just for a few bucks.
It's sad but true but this is what it has come down to.
