Just wondering what is there...have seen the odd rainbow taken and lots of little pike minnows. Are there lakers there?
-
There are lakers and kokanee as well but the fishing in there the last 5 years or so seems to be declining. I have never tried for the lake trout as I don't have downriggers and I hear they are down real deep, but used to do well for kokanee trolling a red wedding band. Good luck!

Any lake trout fishing advice using downriggers? Anyone? salmon fishing spoons work? No flasher? leader lengths?
Thanks in advance

Plugs that look like small Kokanee and other fish. Spoons too even behind flashers. Those Apex plastic spoons worked good for me. When I use to fish for them I just used my salmon gear and changed up if I was not getting bites when you saw them on the fish finder. I think at that lake I would try as close to the bottom as you can get. Find areas that are 80 to 100 feet deep and try there. I think that lake is fairly deep? Some people even have luck with Buzz bombs. Fish finder to get where their holding is pretty important..

Thanks Troutbreath..I am going drop my ocean boat in there for shitz and giggles and use all my salmon gear. 90-95ft at the deepest points there.

Bump, anyone fish Otter lake in recent seasons? I will be in the area and may drop a line through the ice. Back again after the thaw.
