2 rods, but don't know which one to choose.
« on: March 21, 2007, 04:08:18 PM »

So I am looking at a couple bar rods.  Used mainly for Barfing.  One is the Fraser King the other is the TFO 4120.  I know they will both work, but which one would you guys suggest?   :)

These would be shore rods, I have an 8 ft rod I could use if I was in a boat!! ;)

if you are going to fish mostly for the shore, the longer Fraser King is the rod to have. Very tough and hardly ever see one broke.Unfortunately not so for the TFO. If you are boat fishing, a shorter 8'-9' rod works better. The biggest advantage is when boating a fish it's easier to drag him close to the boat to net. The Lamiglas and Trophy XL medium sturgeon rods work well for this. I have all 3 of the rods mentioned and like them for the uses described above.
