New system is great:
- buy from home and print yourself
- print new copies if you lose or get wet
- add classified water or species tags yourself as you need them

downsides:
- potential for fraud: easy to photoshop the pdf
- how many poachers will just print new licenses when they catch their yearly limit of springs?

As convenient as it would appear, I cannot purchase my tidal licence at this time.  I have tried with 3 different cards and it keeps saying the same thing.

Do I have to carry the full size version or can I shrink it and carry the small version ? My wallet is thick enough as is .

Bought and printed both licences for myself successfully, but could not print them for my kids...

I put my freshwater licence on one side and the saltwater one on the other. Cuts down on paper.

You must use the full sized version. Apparently the large pattern in the corner can be read by a machine by a CO. Pretty hard to counterfeit that pattern.
