Jumbo Glacier development approved

Yesterday it was announced the the Jumbo Glacier ski resort development at the head of Toby Creek west of Invermere in the East Kootenays was approved by the province.   This development intrudes into prime grizzly habitat in some of the most spectacular terrain in the world.   

After 20 years of study, mostly indicating it to be a bad idea, heated debate and fierce local opposition it gets approved.   Just goes to show that the 'review' process is just a sham.  No matter how strong the arguments against, the proposals always get approved in the end.

No fish there but grizzlies, moose, elk, goats and deer abound.
