Local Environmental Charities?
« on: January 01, 2021, 11:58:59 AM »

One of my resolutions every year is to donate some money to a different charitable cause each month. In the past I've had the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Langley Environmental Partners, and Ecojustice on the list but this year I'd like to move from national to local causes (more LEPS, less Ecojustice). Can anyone suggest lower mainland-based groups that work to protect and restore local waters? Thanks!

Easy.
Fraser Valley Watersheds Coalition.  Google 'em if you haven't followed their work.

Yes I know they exist but I don't know who they are. Any come to mind? I live in New West though Burnaby/Coquitlam are also local for me. I heard there is/was a hatchery associated with the Brunette but couldn't find any info online.
