Is bar fishing in Richmond area as good as Chilliwack?

Without trying to offend anyone down river ;D now is the time here in Chilliwack on the Fraser. However sometimes heavy rain up country can make the Fraser bar fishing difficult at this time of year too. Check the river reading gauge at Hope , if too big of jump there the river may colour up.

If you come up and it is dirty there is always the mouth of the Harrison for coho and fresh run chum now.

Spin with lures or fly fish. ;D

Hey good to meet you fellows on the bar. Glad it gave you a good fight and I noticed you played it very well. ;D ;D

Sorry you did not hit more fish after we left but all the same it was certainly a good day to be out there.

Chris, you sure are having a hard time getting those Chinooks. ;D And what about Coho, seems you can't find one with a clipped fin. ;D
Just kidding, nice fish and report. :)
I will be getting my limit of coho on Wednesday. ;D

Thank you Chris. At what water level would be considered suitable for bar fishing?

It is not so much the water level at this time of year but the colour of the water which is very dirty right now because of the heavy rain the last few days.

Looks like retirement is treating you and Nick very well. BTW Chris, those waders are looking a little tight around the belly. Your getting a "Timmy's Tummy" ;D.  I think a strict diet of roasted mallard is in order.

  Grteat Read.

Yes the big boat is what is used for guiding only. I imagine that is the one you have been out in.
