I was not aware that situation for Seymour was so dire for steelhead.
By the river size and appearance, I thought it would be in a better shape than the Cap.
I guess there are no easy solutions to the plight faced by urban rivers like Capilano and Seymour.

Great post Brian.  Provincial steelhead management in Region 2 is indeed nonexistant.  I feel for the MOE people who truly cared (Greg Wilson for one) but have seen their budgets/positions slashed to the bone.  Not sure what is best for future steelhead management but the Province is surely doing a diservice to both anglers and these magnificent fish.

I was out on the Cap today. Saw some late spawning coho, but no steel. I ran into one other angler who reported the same.
