Well all i can say is WOW what a morning. ;D

Me and my 2 buddies all fished the same hole today all 3 of us were twitching jigs. Some of us had all the luck and some of us had none  :-[ :-X Sometimes that's just the way it goes.

Started off with a small wild on my first cast around 3-4lbs. Then one of my buddies proceeded to bonk 2 hatcheries one buck one doe around 3-4lbs again. I switched to a different jig and bam I hooked a really nice big wild coho around 6lbs i would guess. such a beautiful fish.

About 15 mins later i got another good bite and i though the last fish was beautiful  ::) guessing around 8lbs.

Finally caught some fish without getting my hands all pink  8) ;D

We went up river to a nice spot and my buddy proceeded to land a stunning 6lb fish!!! wasn't a salmon  :o ::) ::) ::)

Literally a few casts later i got a nice big buck coho around 8lbs with nice red tinge to it twitching again. (sorry no photo)

Oh and its extremely easy to see where i was fishing so i guess ill see all you guys there tomorrow  ::) ::) ::)  ;D ;D ;D Don't be strangers.

Forgot to mention landed 3 cohos today. Had 2 other on for a while but they both jumped and spit the hook.

yeah it is you can see the bridge lol. The whole river shifted to the Native side and washed out 30 FT of the bank its crazy how the river changes.

Twitching was unreal Friday and Saturday. Hooked 11 fish in 18 casts behind this on massive tree in some slack water at one point. Most effective thing to use for coho overall imo. Maybe you catch more fish on roe early in the season (September) but all October and November I have out fished roe on them by far. Landed well over 30 fish the last two days twitching with about a dozen lost and a handful on roe.

why the secrecy?...clearly op wanted us to know a "stunning" fish was caught, but not for us to know what species?  what was the point of telling us the fish was even caught then?

Nice work man...I've seen your other photos on Fish porn and I'm impressed! Have not gone out to the Vedder this year ( I just started fishing the tributaries) but I will next season.
Thanks for the report.

So funny, I went by the spot in the pictures just to see if there would be lots of guys there.
Sure enough at least half dozen or so.
The funny thing is from the road it looked like they were all fishing the fast junk just past the pool.
They need their pink stained leader to come show them where he was fishing. ;D

Spelling nazi now added to being my hero. Nothing better to do than poke the bear? You would think with a name like Johnny Canuck you would be a bit more friendly. Maybe Johnny Nazi?  ;)

Why not? I have taken large bull trout from the Vedder before. And my best buddy and fishing partner caught one a couple years ago (this time of year) that was past the #8 pound mark...
I even caught one on the fly that was at least 6 pounds.

Johnny Canuck, it must be very frustrating having to sort out all the morons on this forum all the time. Thank you for correcting us ALWAYS in our poor fishing form and grammar. You contribute so much to this forum for us all to learn from. I look forward to reading your next reply as you always get that last word in to correct us in our ways. Thanks!

So, back on topic, good to see another convert to jigs. Sure is fun when they hammer it using small spinning setup,eh?
Saw that your not so secret hole had a lot of cars parked there the whole day! I picked up a couple of hatches about
7lb each yesterday. Nice to get solitude from the crowds finally:)

Someone once said that jig twitchers are just wannabe fly fishermen. ;D
I say it is the first step on their spiritual transition towards the fly. :)

Well done guys. :)

X2 ... redundancy can definitely kill participation especially when you know what the outcome of a conversation or debate will be.

Some of the "irrefutable" conclusions form years past:

"There's only one ethical form of fishing. Casting a dry fly upstream to feeding trout."
"Stop blaming sporties and commies. Look at all those nets in the river. Who do you think put them there?"
"Nothing can ever be done without more enforcement."
"Not all coho and steelhead with an adipose fin are wild."
"The river is ALWAYS fishable if you know where to look." ;D ;D ;D
