Title: Buntzen Lake
Post by: jettabambino on May 17, 2015, 01:39:39 PM
Wondering if anyone has been there lately.   Thinking about taking out some out of town friends.

Cant decide between puttering around a fly out the back of the boat or bringing a spinner with worm.

Caught four rainbows (12-14 inches) and a kokanee (7inches) that was thrown back in three or so hours. Not the best fishing there i've had but not bad either. GL. Cheers.

Well.    You beat me.... Trolled flys from 9 to about 2.  3 bites 1 fish.

Used black leach and a spratley

Went out Friday 8:30 am to 12:15 pm and landed four bows all around a foot long. Pumpkin heads in small sizes on my sinking tip line and my slime line with 12ft leaders worked for my catch, but it was tough fishing, you had to work for them. The fishiest area, was off the big Island in the south end, eastern shoreline was not as productive as it often can be. Only four other boats out, did not get a chance to ask them how they did.

Fished Buntzen again 10:30-12:30.
Caught two kokanee (8'', 10''), and a squawfish about 10''. Had several decent bites that I missed...
