Title: Need help with these new lead lines
Post by: Robert_G on June 25, 2013, 05:52:00 PM
or maybe its just the math part.

I like to troll a slow to moderate speed. It seems my new lead line changes color every 10 yards. I'm trying to figure out how deep I'll be with every 10 yards of line in the water. I heard from one person that you are 20 feet deep for every 10 yards(33 feet) of line that you have out....but that would be more than a 45 degree angle....anyone have some good math??

When slow trolling I get about 8'-10' per colour with 25lb test lead core line.

What kind of rod are you using? I'm hearing some guys are using light steelhead rods (8 1/2 - 9 1/2) instead of flyrods.
