Looking at going Sunday and was wondering if anything is happening yet?
Thanks

Other than a few ho's and spring jacks in the lower river . Nothing in large numbers yet .
But the weather forecast calls for a fair amount of rain tomorow , and rain on and off until Wednesday . That should hopefully bring in some fish .
Thats all I know .

Low and slow is what most people are saying right now. Went poking around mid river, and aside from a few small trout/smolts did not see anything of size. What is real shocking is how low and clear the water is. Compared to last year the Vedder is super low, and parts that had water running through it last year are now completely bone dry. Yup we need some rain, and soon to improve the fishing.

Was pretty darn low, unfortunately. Put a little more of a damper on the bottom end where I was. Only got to flex my guns on some small trout and pikeminnows. Although it was low one year I had to drag my canoe up the whole lower river back to the car. The tide was starting to come up a bit when we left at 3 but slowly. Here's a pic from today, no guns.

Well hit the river today, got there around 9ish, water very clear and low. Didn't take long to find a dozen or so fish holding in a nice area of water. Started casting blades with nothing to show, fish were real spooky. Changed after about an hour of nothing to a small float 3 split shots and a tiny hook with a 1/4 inch of pink wool and a longer thin piece of white wool. First cast and fish on, unfortunately for all of 10 or so secs, all the action was too much for the other fish holding, spooked them all off. Moved around a bit and saw a couple more here and there but very few.
Was fishing the lower portion and saw no fish caught, not much longer folks, couple more weeks and we should be good 2 go.
BTW, thanks for the heads up yesterday.

Thats the thing with those whites. They color up FAST, unless put on ice immediately. I never try to be too far from my vehicle when targetting whites as I always keep a cooler of ice in it. Bleed it and than directly on ice.
