Is seems like the Sanctuary Pond is suddenly full of pumpkinseed sunfish. Has someone put a few buckets of them into the pond this summer?
-
They have been there for years, along with the Carp/Goldfish.
-
Oh I see. Maybe I didn't notice them during previous visits because the trout were more active. On the weekend the sunfish were really going after the bait.
-
Have you gone more recently? I’ve been thinking going with a couple of friends but I’m not sure if the sunfish are still here, active, or what bait to use.

Lots of goldfish too

Pumpkinseeds love worms under a float. If you aren't getting bites keep trying different depths or areas.

Sorry, I know it's not the actual topic, but I wanted to check out Sanctuary Pond and try for some trout but I wasn't sure where to park. Didn't want to pay for parking in one of the PNE/Playland lots. Can anyone tell me where the best place to park is here? Is it by Agrodome?
-
Yes it's near the Agrodome. There's plenty of free parking. Reminder, you can only fish off the small dock.
