how to cure roe?

well i finally got some dog roe, just wondering what is the best way to cure it? can anyone help?

There are many, many, many cures. Do a search under roe cures. I myself prefer Pro Cure or plain borax.

Take it to a roe doctor, and get him to prescribe what you need to do.  If it's incurable, determine its next of kin :D:D:D:D

My last time I tried was just straight borax after letting it dry for almost 2 days.  Then, into the freezer.  It went so-so.

If it has nice orange colour then just borax it.  Make sure to get rid of all the blood in the veins. Cut into loonie or quarter sized chunks and let them dry for two or three hours on paper towels. You may need to change the paper towels after an hour depending on how wet the chunks are. Make sure to get as much water out of it. When it's tacky to the touch sprinkle it liberally with 20 mule team borax and store in the fridge or freezer.

If you don't like the natural colour then procure it, but it's a lot more work.

I let mine dry for like 16 hrs ( I put it in an old bird cage so stupid neighbours cats, or my dog won't eat it )

Perhaps it was a shorter time, but once it had a sort of leathery skin, it seemed to harden up, and not got bad.  No odour, just harder little balls.  Not that it did me any good when it came time to fish with it :(
