hi
I live in the lower mainland and enjoy lake fishing but am learning to fly fish.  right now I have a few float boats and a Minn kota 33lbs. I recently caught the fishing bug and haven't fished much since I was a young guy. I've been checking out a lot of the lakes in the lower mainland and have been slowly exploring the squamish and chilliwack areas too. I've got a light, med, and heavy casting rods and a 6wt 9ft fly rod. lure fishing is my preference but I like whatever works too so dough balls and bait is good to experiment with too

happy fishing!

Hello fellow fishermen/women
My Name is Dan and I live in Vancouver.

I haven't fished for years (now 42) but just recently returned from a trip to Africa where I had the opportunity to fish in the Okavango Delta and I remembered how much I enjoyed it.

I am an RN and I work at VGH.

Just bought an ultralight spinning set up as lake and river fishing will be what I do most.

Will have lots of questions as fishing has become much more technical over the last 20 yrs.

Cheers,
Dan

Hello:
I am new to this forum.  I live on Vancouver Island and fly fish for trout and occasionally for steelhead.  My focus is on using soft-hackled flies.  Most of my fishing is with two handers but I still use a single hander now and then.  Looking forward to new interactions on this forum.

Cheers,
Gary

Think you need a certain number of posts before you can have access to the Fishing Reports section. Welcome to the site.

For the supreme test of a fisherman is not how many fish he has caught, not even how he has caught them, but what he has caught when he has caught no fish.

Hi I'm Rob. Married, live in New West. Favorite fish are coho and springs. Just started fishing again after 6years. Love all the info and feedback from this forum. Misc info: I don't really like to eat fish, find them too fishy, therefore I find it easy to release my catch, no pressure to keep them.
