« on: June 06, 2005, 10:50:03 PM »

Would fishing from shore be good at Buntzen Lake? or would fishing of a boat or float tube be better?
Web serch showed there is a store by sunnyside road that rents canoe, anyone ever rented there?
Thank you

... but if you can get out on the water.... do so. If you need a boat, rent from the entrance. You get keys to a canoe which is tied up by the boat launch. Maybe their plastic kayaks might be easier for one person. I've had recent success on a v-boat trolling a sinking line and green scuds or black ants. Also caught a pikeminnow.

buntzen can be pretty good fishing from shore although the popular spots can get crowded.  I sometimes fish off the dock by the boat launch with floating power eggs on the bottom if i am not in my boat.  You can also float fish off the big rock or anywhere along that side from shore.  There is a trail that leads you there.
