Hit the beach area this morning at arround 5am
I got into two coho but lost them both
one hit so close i could not strike and the other took me for a run (drag to slack) and when i tried to tighten the drag the line got caught on my reel and the leader snapped
some schools of fish arround but not many
i heard that there were some pinks caught from one of the shore areas yesterday and one today
Yup the pinks have arrived, just small numbers right now

"one of the shore areas" and  "the beach area" I used these terms for a reason
These areas are tough to fish (it is the Ocean) and by no means hot spots but can be productive at times
There is a lot of shore line in West Van you just need to put in some time and check the whole area out
One day one area will have fish the next day they are at another area
Part of the fun of fishing is finding new areas to fish
The tides play a big factor in these areas too

Very slow this morning. One fisherman using bait caught a couple of flounders and a greenling. Morning wasn't a total waste as I found a couple of buzz bombs.
