Heading out after school tomorrow, and I can't make up my mind. Saw that the Cap had risen substantially this afternoon which made me think..........and - second week of October...should be some nice Chum up in Squamish by now...hmmm...anybody?

Whereabouts do you live ? Given that sunset is around 6:30, I think it's a little late in the day to be heading to Squamish (unless school's out at noon)

The water clarity has degraded tremendously as the rain fell today. It progressed from glacial green with couple of feet of visibility to silty white with less than a foot of visibility. In my honest opinion, it is not worth it until the rain ceases with the couple of cold days. If clarity improves, you should expect good fishing for chum salmon and the odd coho salmon.

Was SUPER slow for the most part of today - seals all over the place. After high tide there were more fish (actually I should say fish in general) showing and that was about 4 pm so I'd recommend the Capilano, especially if you said the water has come up. There should be fish at the mouth desparate to get upstream by now.

A friend of mine, he and his circle have been working the Cheakamus pretty hard...mostly boot chum now. Few coho kicking around but no real biters.
