So far this season I've been lucky enough to land 7 steelhead, only 1 of which was hatchery? Seems like this ratio is low compared to other years! Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or am I just unlucky!

You using bait? I use artificials and my long term ratio is more like 10 wild to 1 hatchery.

I suppose these numbers would only mean something if we were talking about one specific system. Some people fish predominantly on hatchery enhanced systems while other fish on non hatchery enhanced systems.
Another factor in hatchery enhanced systems would be fishing location on that particular system. If you fish most of the time in the upper reaches of busy systems you are more than likely to see predominantly wild fish as most hatcheries are dispatched long before you would see them. If you fish those lower portions your researched would kind of be like rolling the dice at the casino, whatever hits is what you are stuck with.
Personally I have always found my ratio's are higher on the wild side, but there have been days when its been nothing but hatcheries as well. This years ratio is about 60/40 wild to hatchery

I assume you're talking about the Vedder? If so then I have experienced the same thing. I'd rather catch a wild fish anyways because I'd be too tempted to bonk the hatch and end up going home early.
