Title: Any info on Walker Lake, Island Lake or Rose Valley (Near Kelowna)
Post by: Darko on July 07, 2023, 10:17:02 PM
Gonna be in Kelowna from the (16-19) of July. These seem to be my best options for good shore fishing. If anyone can share their experience or advice for any of these lakes that would be much appreciated or the Dee Lake area (2 wheel drive friendly) feel free to share some flys to try  ;). From my research and limited findings it seems like Walker and Island are hard to fish and trophy managed while Rose valley is heavily stocked but a hike in. Just can't find find too much online. There is one comment from the last year that walker had heavily WK but I'm not sure I believe that..

I got this from Okanagan fishing locations main page from FWR

"Rose Valley Reservoir is nestled in a really pretty valley just out of sight from the city of Kelowna. Bring a float tube as shore fishing is difficult and cast flies for medium sized Rainbow in a quiet wilderness setting literally minutes from the core of one of BC's larger cities."
