Post by: DragonSpeed on October 18, 2004, 08:02:38 PM
Holy cow...what a game!  But it's a long way to shake off the curse of the bambino still.

Guess it's not going to be the Yanks in 5 eh?  ;D

Wow!!!  A bloop single by Ortiz to drive in Damon.

Looks like there will be a game 6 back in the Bronx...  Wasn't there going to be some eating of fishing rods if it wasn't in 5 games?...  Were those rods really lost?...  ;D ;) :o

And how about the blast by Kent!  Wow!  A couple of great series.

Ok ate the rods!  :(  Who do the Yankees get rid of first!  Giambi, Shefield, Clark!  Entire pitching staff except Rivera! Stottelmire?

Their payroll next year will be double this years  ;D.  This is George S's worst nightmare to be up 3-0 and to lose the next 4 games (1st time in history), to lose in Yankee stadium, and to lose to those damn Sox!

My money is that George will sign Carlos Beltran to a monster deal to bring him to NY.  He's the best FA out there.

Rivera....  He may still be a great closer.   But he had a chance to sweep the Sox in game 4 and came within 3 outs away but he blew that save.  He blew another save in the next game as well.  He hasn't been the dominant playoff closer like he was during the late 90's since the Diamondbacks beat him in 2001.
