boat launches near langley?
« on: September 18, 2009, 12:54:55 PM »

Hey everyone, I've been fishing the pink run at my favorite spots in langley from shore and would like to take my boat out in the same general area (derby reach - duncun bar) but don't know of any boat launches and can't find any from the usual  sources. Some local knowledge would be much apreciated. I have a 14' runabout and don't need a wonderfull launch or much water to get out there.

There is a boat launch in fort langley in the bedford channel. The launch is right behind the restauant "bedford house" . Great launch to use as it is about half way between duncan bar and derby reach.

There is a not so wonderful launch in Fort Langley. (bad at low tide and limited parking).  Going down the main drag towards the old Albion Ferry, take a right at IGA, and first left into park. The next closest would be under Port Mann or Mission I believe. I heard that Haney has one but don't live on that side.

Maple Ridge has 2. One in the Albion area(very small) and a new one behind the Hammond mill.

Geff t

I live in Pitt Meadows and have never heard of a boat launch in Hammond behind the mill. Do you know exactly where it is, the launch at Haney Marine is to shallow for my boat at low tide and the other one a Pitt marina is always a gong show.

Thx
