Hi all,
I'm looking for kids waders, for a 7 year old boy. Before I buy a new pair, I thought I'd ask here first.
Tight lines..

and whats up that their email is "info@atlanticrivers.com" ?? I think they are a franchise of Atlantic River outfitter. They share the information and guides. I have very good experience with Atlantic River outfitter. The gears in their website have more attractive price. |

You really need to go out try these spots. I have caught a total of 1 bass in a stream in all the 30+ years since the bass "infestation" hit our local waters. I have tried some of the still waters for bass but not with much success. Of all the places only Mill and Hatzig get consistently mentioned as spots with good bass fishing. There was a thread on Hatzig within the last month or so.

Hailing from California and Ontario, you may not be aware that bass are considered to be invasive in BC.
https://bcinvasives.ca/invasives/largemouth-bass/ https://bcinvasives.ca/invasives/smallmouth-bass/ Others will disagree with me, but if you catch a bass I recommend killing it. Unfortunately both LMB and SMB are well established in the province and killing it is like fartin’ in a hurricane, but that’s just me. I’m somewhat tolerant of bass in bodies of water that are landlocked (ie Walmsley Lake in Albert Dyck Park) but in streams or sloughs I’m a bloodthirsty maniacal killer. Having said that, check out the pond in front of Trinity Western University in Langley. Lots of bass. I’ve fished it a couple of times and caught small’sh ones on topwater lures. My son and his buddies have caught some tanks on spinnerbaits. Given the proximity of the pond to the Salmon River, several years ago the university partnered with the Ministry to do an electroshocking cull of non-native fish. So, if you want to cull the ones you catch, you’ll be in good company.😀 |
