I hooked my friend in the neck once.... he was standing behind me when I lost a fish... the weight came flying back and the hook caught him in the neck and gave him a pretty nice gash 

I've once heard someone say to a fly-fisherman....
"Could you please stop taking so much room to cast, or maybe move farther away from me, your hook is freaking me out."

That's funny. I now mostly fly fish (not sturgeon obviously), and I have not yet hit flesh with my fly.

Yea fly fishing is addictive, once you've hooked a coho, or spring on your rod like I did this year you never wanna quit, I started fly-fishing in the 1st week of November with my new fly-rod and caught 10 coho and around 12 chum and 1 spring, I can't figure out why every one moves when a fly-fisher walks in though b/c most of us know exactly where our hook is going - hopefully. Some 1 better get this thread back on topic lol.

It's ok that he's 300 feet down stream, I have at least another 200 feet of tough line left on my reel to play him with.
