Got out at 8:00am in the upper vedder. After 5min Rob was into his first fish, it pulled him downstream a long ways but I finally tailed it for him. It was a nice wild doe of about 8lbs. Fished for another hour there but nothing else to be had so we moved downriver. Next spot Rob again gets a 8lb wild doe tight into shore, released again. Then 15 min later I got one in the soft spot of the flow that was really strong and it broke my 10lb leader, bummer! >:( Fished some other spots after that but no other hook ups. It sure was warm.. 22 C on the cars thermometer. Nice day to be out.

Sounds like a good day, hoping to get out there on Monday. Congrats. What was the bait of choice for those steel?

Really nice job BP. No love for me today, but I am thinking about one more kick at the can for tomorrow.....just can't quite give it up yet. Want to end it on a good note. ;D

Ya don't stop now Big Steel, it seems like this is prime time and the fish are all still really chrome. I wait all year to steelhead in these warm conditions - no jacket, no gloves, suntan.

I really wish I could have monday off as well.... fricken work!! ::) ;D But, I have a good feeling, hadn't been out for about a month, so I will call today a day for shaking off the rust and will be back on my game tomorrow. ;D I think I over dressed in the morning, as I was a bit on the warm side! But yeah, I like the warm weather after having some really cold trips this year. ;)
