Opening of Dyke Closures On The Vedder River
« on: October 11, 2004, 09:02:38 PM »

On behalf of the CVRCC and FVSS I contacted the City of Chilliwack last week to remind them the East gate off Giesbrecht Road should be open during the fishing season per our series of meeting last year.

As well the temporay closure of lock blocks up from Keith Wilson Bridge to the Salwein gravel pit should also be open to create more parking space.

They informed me they will be opened this week if they are not already.

One other thing we ask of course is please pick up your  garbage that happens to fall out of your vehicle. As well if possible take a minute or two to clean up some other litter around these parking areas that others have thrown out. It is a constant battle to try to keep these areas for access open for you and dumping of garbage does not help at all.

Thanks very much..

Hey that's Great News!
Thieves love secluded spots and now they have so many more places to hide in while they break/smash/steal and otherwise wreck people's vehicles!

Some people work very hard to keep these fishing venues open and clean, lets try to keep any input posative and helpfull, or keep it to your self (insert explitive here).
