Good grief what is with these tyrannical fascists governments we have in BC, Quebec and Federally? I also thought the courts ruled in 2009 fish farms are now under federal jurisdiction not provincial? But I guess the Social credit/BC Reform/Conservative coalition calling themselves 'Liberals' want to protect their buddies. After all money is all that matters to right wingers.

So when we get an outbreaker of bird flu, the dangerous kind, or perhaps hoof and mouth or mad cow or brucellosis or anthrax or .....any number of other diseases that impact humans it is against the law to tell anybody? Jeesh!!!
The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power. ”
— Franklin D. Roosevelt, April 29, 1938. Message to congress

"This legislation arose out of the government’s attempts to prevent release of information on disease outbreaks in salmon farms, as suggested by B.C. Information and Privacy Commissioner Elizabeth Denham in a May 3 letter to McRae."
