Well, I made it down the road for about an hr and a half this morning!! But, I hit the tide all wrong and it was a good way out when I got there!! My buddy had been there since 4:30 in the morning though. He got into 5 before I got there. So I figured that I would throw it in for a bit. Had a couple of taps, and actually got up to pick up the rod once!! But to no avail, whatever had been playing with it was gone!! Then, my buddies rod started going off, after a min or so, hook set and he is into a spirited battle with a 4 and a half footer. After that release, about 20 min later he is getting the sturgy tap again!! ??? ;D Hook set and he is into another one, this one though is the smallest one I had seen yet this year!! Just under 2 feet. At this point, I really had to go to the can!! So, I packed it up, and since the low tide is basically useless at this spot, I called it a day!! ::) ;D But, I will be back out there next weekend giving it a go!! Still haven't hooked into one yet this year, mind you, I have only been out about a total of 3-4 hrs for them!! :o ;D But all that will change!! ;D
Get out there boys, they are around!! ;)

Well, our bait of choice was Eulies!! But my buddy had some secret scent that I will get my hands on before next weekend!!! No it wasn't WD-40!! Was an actual scent for Sturgeon!! ;) ;D

Hey Big Steel,
How do you rig up your eulies?Just curious because I was fishing with some guys yesterday that hacked them up and made sacks out them. They were get way more hits on them then my buddy and myself who were using dewies but we out landed them two to one:) biggest was a four footer.

Well, we were cutting ours in half, the putting the hook through the thicker end, then line wrapping a couple of wraps down what was left over!! ;)
-
I usually use peamouth chub but they dont seem to be around as of yet:( and i dont know of anyone who can get eulies?

Well, mine are leftovers!! When I am out I am out!! Then it will be on to dew worms and roe and a couple of other things!! ;D
