Where do you draw the line and rather stay home than head out to fish?

Never. I will go fishing in any weather, in any season.
When it is well below zero.
In the heat of summer.
When it's going to pour rain or snow all/ most of the day.
I am a wuss. I only fish on fair weather days.

I live in North Van so road conditions have an effect in getting out to the Valley.  Also if it is below -10 and real windy.

Ditto with the road conditions.  I have so much Simms gortex and merino wool I can handle cold, wet, etc...  Wind does suck but one can always find somewhere to fish.  With 2 little ones, when I negotiate a day, you better believe I'm going!

unless the wind is going to blow me off the freeway then im good to go. I was going to go out today before work but not at minus whatever with that 25km wind ! If i was gear fishing then i might have still gone but being a work day i decided to stay home instead.

HOOK - really hates it when you arrive at a lake to find 4-5foot waves after a 3-4hour drive !!

On some of the crummy days I do still get out but tend to do more driving/hiking/exploring than fishing.  If the road conditions are extreme (rare) i will stay home.

As a fly fisher, it is only a strong wind that can keep me at home, and I have fished in pretty blustery conditions.

Cold and rain don't bother me that much...but strong wind willl keep me off the water.

When the wife hits the La Senza store the night before usually means it's game over for me  ;) , or game on , what ever I choose  ;D
