--there was a short two week opening at osoyoos last season for sockeye but it was controversial thus not sure it will happen again this season, and if it does it will be short notice in season reg change and only after other fisheries objectives have been met. Possible late august 15 day opening one fish limit for Osoyoos, not officila and subject to change after consultation..
--similkameen is still running high water for the season but starting to settle down... locals planning first river  trips this weekend. But even with several you won't notice any pressure... a lot of river with no one fishing it.
--Trout and whitefish.

There is a Chinnok opening in the Shuswap River and Mabel lake up Enderby way.    See FN0626   http://www-ops2.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/xnet/content/fns/index.cfm?pg=view_notice&lang=en&DOC_ID=134373&ID=all
