Jrfm DJ said it best "who let the french figure skating judge, judge the vault?" It's ridiculous, how does a guy who totally blows his landing...I mean, not just a wee step, I mean, full on, 2 hands land on the floor, he ends up off the mat, out of the landing area boundary, get 9.3 something, giving him enough to get bronze....OUTRAGEOUS!!!!! absolutely ridiculous. Its figure skating all over again. and what really sucks, is that it was totally obvious, and the Canadians are the ones that are gonna look like the whiners, whining about losing medals again to bad judging. It's utter crap-ola!

There's no nice way to put this...we got screwed :(

So typical of any sports which requires subjective judging. Dragonspeed got it right, Canada got screwed !

The starting difficulty was something like a 9.9 and the deduction for the 3 steps yadda yadda should have been at least a 0.5, and from there deductions from any other minor problems in the routine. Then they were talking about how the range was definitely too large for the scoring, as they're supposed to be within .2 of each other or something and the scores ranged from 9.1 to 9.5. In my books Canada got the bronze. The other guy should go home ASHAMED.

Romanian athlete, Romanian judge. Coincidence ?

Its politics in sports.

The math on the second jump should not have allowed the score that he got. Simple. He did not have enough points subtracted for the landing flaws, despite the regs saying that clearly this should happen.
