~~~Carpet Layer Needed~~~

 Mrs. Randog has lost control of her senses. The reno saga continues.....

Now new carpets are in order, two bedrooms and family room. Sooooo... I was wondering if there are any carpet layers on board here that may concider doing a little "side job". Please help me out if you can, she's putting the "squeeze play" on me here. She wants the new carpets installed before Christmas. She would usually ask for this kind of thing like 2-3 days before she wants them done, but this time she's actually given the orders 3 weeks before the big day 

Anyways drop me an email and we'll tee something up

Go hardwood or laminate with area rugs.  Better resale value and you can do it yourself.  Glad to see other husbands have wives with "THE LIST".  I'm not alone ;D

I know what you are saying Grumman...I arrived home the other night and found a carpenter re doing our back porch...another guy putting on new eaves...an excavator doing swales on the property and a painter giving an estimate on painting inside the house!!! Good thing we are selling and downsizing (propert anyway!)..Thank god for lines of credit!

Consider putting down a cork floor like we did, expensive but looks great and I will have a good supply of material to make cork floats with. ;D

I very much agree with grumman in #2.  Especially since I think you have a bunch of cats (not so?).  Wall to wall carpeting ends up being DIRTY all the way through the pad real fast, especially if you have animals in the house.  I recently redid the floor in a rental we have, and found I could do it with that laminated stuff that looks like wood and clicks together (it's a little harder than that sounds) for about the same price as low-end carpeting.

Those kitties will look real cute sliding around corners on that stuff.

Last winter I redid everything in our apt. Painted the ceilings' walls new shower stall  tiles in the bathroom and closets new light fixtures and ceiling fans new moulding and yes new laminate flooring.  I did everything myself and was quite pleased with it but my point is .....  If you do lean towards laminate flooring choose your colour wisely we went with a light pine wood and it shows every speck of dirt. my wife is a clean freak so the floors get swiffered twice a day

Here's a good tip for pet owners.  Take some fur from your animals to the store when you are sellecting your colour.  Throw the fur on the sample and see which one hides the fur the best.
