At the end of the video trailer, I think either a rod went overboard or Rod went overboard?

Fishing along Hwy 24 is always great and I will up at Bridge Lake, next weekend.

Rod gone over I think.
If it is there has to be a way to get it back.
Nice video  :) when a fish is on everything gets crazy quickly.

Some photos from the episode.

Mrs Every Day has once again caught the largest fish of the trip and this has happened often enough that we can conclude luck is not the main factor here... If a line was dropped into the sewer she can probably pull something out. ;D

Awesome that you got the rod back  ;D
The pain of loosing the rod must have been killer, then when you get it back feels so good, I know the feeling lol.
Nice video and nice fish, thx for sharing.

All 3 lakes are in region 5 (Cariboo.)

If there are no specific restrictions listed for these lakes, then the regional regulations apply.

Excellent video Rodney. One of the best that you have done. Nice to see that a fellow fisherman, retrieved and returned the rod and reel.

Yes I know, it's just strange that these major lakes on the so called "fishing highway" arent' recognised on the Government site.  I guess treble hooks are allowed.

The term "fishing highway" is purely a marketing term that has nothing to do with fishing regulations and the lakes' not being on a government website.  And yes, unless specified, treble hooks are allowed on most lakes in BC.

Thanks Captain Obvious  ;)  any idea why the Government doesn't list those lakes on the Cariboo area list?

FWIW gofishbc acutally lists lac-des-roche in region 3. I also thought it was in region 5. All three appear very close to the region 5/3 border from the map in the regs so if a lake's not listed as have specific rules it can be pretty hard to tell what region a body of water is in...

Thanks, I have not fished Lac Des Roches in about 7-8 years but thought I had remembered it as region 5 also.

Kind of Ironic you would be wearing a Scotty hoodie but lost your rod because the boat was not setup with scotty holders  8)
Thanks for the video, I have found memories of that lake dating back some 16 years ago. I see it is a much busier lake now.

Great vid Rod Rod Rod Rod  ;) .
I would find it hard to resist not stopping at one of the dozens of lakes you would have to pass a long way there and back to the lodge . Next time it would be nice to see you or Kit do up a big trout in the frying pan , isn't that what part of it 's all about  ;) .

Thanks all, appreciate the comments. Incorporating the cooking component into the video is definitely a good idea. Lots to do, just need more time. ;) One thing to keep in mind is that for us to put this one episode together, it's a week of work. Four of those days involve filming, the other three involve editing, reviewing, revising until publishing. I try to add in all the ideas we have, but usually we just run out of time and cash to do all of them... ;D

That's what I've been doing wrong! You have to fish in your socks! :o And as a matter of fact, fish have jumped in the boat twice at Tunkwa. Once hooked, once not.

Love fishing in socks or bare feet on the carpeted floor of this boat in the summer! ;D

Dumping more videos up from this trip because I got quite a bit of footage to work with. Here is the uncut version of the largest fish of the trip:
